Hi ya
I have just spent 3 hours looking at pictures of your Landy re-build.
I am so envious i am at the moment rebuilding my 2A, but i have only just started stripping it down (even though i have had it for 4 years !!!).
My situation looks the same as yours that the rebuild will take place on the front garden as i have not got a garage.
Well done excellent site and pictures.

Regards
Mark.

Very good site,I'm restoring a 1965 2a and your site has been a great Library of information,Because when you have stripdown a motor and it takes you sum time to put it back together you can forget how things should be!could you please tell me where you got the Red and Green lights for the dashboard from,I have tryed many companys, I have even tried Jonh craddocks But the lights fittings were to small as the holes are about 23mm.Could you please tell me were you got yours from. Many thanks Keith .

Looking very, very good! super tidy.
I'm currenty doing a rolling restoration on a Series 3 Lightweight - can you tell me if you used cold zinc spray (brand?) for the tub cappings or hot-dip?
If it looks like yours, I'll be happy!
Cheers - Dean.

Great site, glad to see someone else that is doing a hands on restoration.

I found a '73 S3 LHD that was sitting in a field for 15+ years about a mile from my house. Hope it turns out as nice as yours.

Your doing an admirable job. I shall look at it again next year when I get to the bodywork and need to push through the groaning stage!!

Hey fella. Gotta say, most impressed and inspiring. As a Landie fan with a 1980 SWB Series 3, by no means a techie or a grease monkey, its great to see someone getting thoroughly stuck in. Inspired to do something myself with my vehicle, although the time kinda puts me off. However as commercially available Restored/Refurbed Series vehicles fetch in the region of £15k +, I doubt they come close to the level of attention you've given. Keep on truckin fella and cant wait to see the finished article.

Just at rolling chassis stage with 1969 Series 2a (WXC 181 F) going to take is easy and aim for an MOT by late spring 2009 (she will be my daily driver and has a Prima Turbo Diesel and overdrive fitted - scared the hell out of me, I was doing 85 MPH (confirmed by wife following)at one stage on the way back from Yeovil and does 40MPG). Good Luck

Excellent site and info. Nice and clear pictures. I'm interesting in doing a rebuild on a s2, but rare to find in Malaysia. However, might settle for a s3 instead. smilie smilie Keep up the good work!

I'll be starting to strip my 1961 Series 2 SWB this summer so its useful to read your experiences - please keep posting

Good to see that you've used a few of the suppliers I am planning to use (Richards Chassis, Glencoyne etc). One less thing to worry about!

All the best, Swampy
